Halo 3 battle rifle coming to ODST Firefight on MCC, matchmaking too
First seen in the stop-gap release Halo 3: ODST, Firefight Mode is a fantastic Co-operative online experience for up to 4 players, as they desperately fight off wave after punishing wave of Covenant attackers until finally it becomes too much. Firefight is at its core a survival game mode, in which the squad of up to 4 players must fight wave after wave of enemies, working together to hold out for as long as possible before they are overwhelmed.
With Firefight 2. Enemies come in individual Waves, of which 5 make up a Round. An infinite number of Sets can theoretically be played – the enemy Waves will keep getting harder and harder till the squad of players cannot survive the assault any longer. To make things both more tactical and more difficult, the squad of players are restricted to a shared pool of just 7 lives during a Firefight Match.
Killed 10 enemies in Firefight or Campaign with a supercombine explosion. Let a teammate spawn on you 5 times in an Invasion Matchmaking.
Seasons have also been added to the game, along with Season Points. Each Season will feature a new theme, playlists and featured modes, and new unlockable items in the form of cosmetics. Anything that you have already unlocked will stay with you in the game. Season Points are the currency that you need to earn to get your hands on the seasonal items. Season Points are earned by playing the game. As you level up your Global Rank, by completing activities in the game on dedicated servers, you will earn Season Points.
The activities mean multiplayer in the matchmaking queue and online Firefight.

I was able to accomplish the campaign ones, but the multiplayer I was not. I access the multiplayer challenge, select the challenge and select “A” Jump to an appropiate playlist. It immediately sets up the playlist, but it was not one that qualified for the challenge. The daily challenge was to play a multiplayer Firefight game on Overlook on Heroic. That didn’t seem to be an option that came up. If you create a Firefight game on Overlook on Heroic difficulty, the challenge indicated this was not possible at this time.
